Subjects Taught

I started college at Kent State University where I received a Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education.  Later, I recieved a Masters in the art of Teaching from Marygrove College.

I have taught at Wellsville Schools since 1998, first as a substitute teacher, then as a full time teacher at MacDonald School until its closing.  I have been teaching at DAW ever since.  I have happily taught fourth grade math for 17 years.

Hello! I'm Mrs. Christa McIntosh and I delight in teaching fourth grade math at Daw Elementary School.  I am a proud alumni, parent, resident and teacher for our Wellsville School District.  My husband and I have raised 3 Wellsville graduates and have spent numerous hours cheering for the Tigers.  A lesser known fact about me, is that I enjoy playing piano for a local church every Sunday morning.  The Carnegie Library Book Club, Carnegie Library Board Trustee and Local Professional Development Committee member for Wellsville Local Schools and Wellsville Historical Society are some of my community involvement activities.  Some of my hobbies are gardening, cooking, baking, painting, playing card games and reading for pleasure.
My Bachelor's Degree is in Elementary Education and I hold a Master's Degree in the Art of Teaching.  A lifelong learner, I continue to attend professional development opportunities to keep up with educational trends.
I have happily taught in the Wellsville School District for more than 18 years, 16 of them enjoying teaching math to fourth graders.  I love my job and our students and look forward to meeting this year's class!
